How To Make A Turmeric Face Mask
Has the turmeric in your spice rack caught your eye but you’re not feeling cooking today? Go self-care instead with a spicy DIY face mask.
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp apple cider vinegar
11/2 tbsp raw honey
1 tsp plain yogurt
Mix all ingredients together in a small bowl until it forms a paste. Using a make-up brush, apply a thin layer to a clean, dry face. Let the mask sit for about 15 minutes and gently remove with a damp cloth. Note: turmeric can stain fabric, so wear old clothing and use an old cloth. Your face may have a slight yellow hue afterwards, soak a cotton ball in milk to remove.
How To Make An Avocado Face Mask
It happened again didn’t it? You missed your perfect ripe avocado window. Don’t toss it. Instead, pair it with that freckly banana on the counter plus one egg and you’ve got a decadent face mask combo.
1 small banana
1 egg yolk
Using a fork, mash egg and avocado. Add the egg and mix all ingredients to form and paste. Generously apply to your face for 10-15 minutes. Remove and rinse face with cold water.
How To Make An Oatmeal Face Mask
Next time you’ve got oatmeal on the stove, set some aside for a mini spa sesh.
1 Cup cooked oatmeal
1 Tbsp honey
2 Tbsp applesauce
While oatmeal is still hot add honey and let cool. Apply to face for 10-15 minutes and rinse with lukewarm water.
