Positive Thinking with Vision Boards
Before you purge all of those old magazines, get out your scissors and glue. Craft a vision board and let the universe work its magic.
Visualization is a powerful tool and can come in handy in many scenarios. Perhaps those last few workouts have become mundane, or an upcoming presentation has made you a bundle of nerves. Maybe after a few bad days, you just need a reminder to smile (of course your vision board can include kittens). Whatever your reasons may be, if you need a little something to help you keep your eye on the prize, this just might be the focus that you’ve been searching for.
The great thing about a vision board is that you can be as imaginative or as matter of fact as you like. Don’t have a creative bone in your body? No problem! A vision board can be full of inspirational images such as your dream vacation destination or someone whose success you want to emulate, or it can be a collage that contains powerful words like “success,” “joy” and “bad*ss.” The trick is to assemble your board when you’re alone and can have a heart-to-heart with yourself. No outside influence allowed.
Once your masterpiece is complete, display it in an area where you can have frequent sightings, like the wall of your bathroom or your cubicle at work. You can even keep a pic on your phone handy for visualization emergencies.
So, if you need a little positive affirmation in your day, don’t waste another minute. Get snipping and gluing and prepare to manifest your dreams.
