Some mornings can be frantic. Getting just yourself organized is often a chore in itself. So when you add kids, pets and/or spouses to the mix, it can be chaos to the extreme. But with these simple strategies, you’ll be radiating calm vibes in no time.
Do as much as you can the night before
Select your outfit, pack lunches, prep breakfast smoothies like this one. We get it, after dinner you’re pooped and just want to chill with your book or series. But take 30minutes to get all this done and by morning you’ll be thrilled you did.
Take a beat and breathe
When you feel the pressure building, find a quiet place to catch your breath. Whether it be the bedroom, bathroom, or hall closet, inhale for a count of four, hold for a count of four, exhale for a count of four. Repeat as many times as necessary. If the mood strikes, squeeze in a few squats while you’re at it.
Cherish your commute
It may be a 15minute car ride or an hour-long transit journey, but you can make the most of this time. Enjoy a podcast, audio book or your favorite playlist. You won’t even mind the bumper to bumper and by the time you reach the office you’ll be singing along.
Wake up earlier
Sounds cruel doesn’t it? But by giving yourself the gift of time, you can actually enjoy your shower, put on your makeup in peace (give your brows the attention they deserve, finally!), plan your day and even Instagram your breakfast.
